Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Rescue is engineered to provide immediate relief in cold weather emergencies when diesel fuel has gelled or fuel filters have frozen. This fully formulated emergency product contains a military-grade de-icer that quickly thaws ice and disperses moisture in fuel systems. By re-liquefying gelled fuel, Diesel Winter Rescue restores the flow of fuel to the engine, allowing the vehicle to start and resume normal operation.
The product also includes a lubricity additive, which protects fuel pumps and injectors from wear, particularly in Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) and biodiesel blends. Diesel Winter Rescue is safe for use in all diesel engines but should be used strictly as an emergency product. For everyday preventative maintenance during winter months, Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is recommended.
Treatment Instructions:
-
To De-Ice Frozen Fuel Filters:
If the fuel in your tank is liquid but the engine won't start, remove the fuel filters and fill them with a 50/50 blend of Diesel Winter Rescue and diesel fuel. Reinstall the filters, allow a few minutes for the de-icer to work, and then start the engine. Let the engine fully warm up before normal operation. -
To Re-Liquify Gelled Fuel in Tanks:
Add 32 oz. of Diesel Winter Rescue for every 40 gallons of fuel in the tank. Remove the engine’s fuel filters and fill them with a 50/50 mixture of Diesel Winter Rescue and diesel fuel. After reinstalling the filters, allow a few minutes for the de-icer to take effect, then start the engine and let it idle to warm up. Ensure the engine is fully warmed before continuing.
