Sonnax offers two solutions for excessive endplay in GM TH400, TH425, 4L80-E and 4L85-E units. Sonnax rear unit endplay shim 34006-05 can be stacked under the four-tab metal thrust washer on the rear of the output shaft flange to set unit endplay in the same manner as the OE selective three-tab spacers. These shims eliminate the need to stock expensive or hard-to-find OE three-tab spacers and are an alternative to Sonnax shim 34500-Z. Shimming at this location maintains the stack-up height between the gear train main shaft and sun gear shaft.

• Shims allow for setting of rear unit endplay by shimming components at the same location as OE selective spacers
• Can also be used between the two carriers to optimize reaction carrier endplay
