Vehicles equipped with Chrysler 845RE and ZF8HP45, ZF8HP55 and ZF8HP70 transmissions may experience converter shudder, TCC slip, overheating and/or damaged TCC linings, and may set various TCC-related trouble codes. These problems can be caused by wear in the torque converter clutch bore, which allows critical control fluid to escape the circuit. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized TCC valve kit 35740-13K prevents pressure loss and restores TCC operation by eliminating excess wear.
