The accumulator plate in Chrysler 45RFE, 545RFE, 65RFE, 66RFE and 68RFE units is weak and not held securely enough to withstand the impact of the accumulator pistons. The OE plate flexes, causing the screws to loosen and break.

The patented plate is made of thicker steel and has three additional screw holes to hold the plate more securely.
