In Ford 6R60, 6R75 and 6R80 transmissions, the sleeve in the center of the 2-6 “C” clutch housing is the sealing surface for the 3-5-R or “B” clutch housing sealing rings. These sealing rings are on the lower portion of the drum, and wear grooves into the sleeves and creates leakage and 3-5-R “B” clutch failure.

Machining the 2-6 “C” clutch housing bore (center support) and installing the hardened steel Sonnax center support sleeve 95630-02 restores proper hydraulic integrity and prevents future sealing ring wear.
