As RPM, valve lift, and spring pressures increase, a single spring may no longer provide adequate valve control. For engines at this level, a dual spring becomes necessary. These USA-made springs come with retainers and 10-degree locks and can handle valve lifts up to .700". It is essential to have the installed height set correctly, which your machine shop can handle.

To install, you may need to modify the head for smaller stem seals, using tools like the Comp Cam 519-16, Howards Cams cutter 92035, and 5/16″ arbor 92085. The modification is simple and can be done in about five minutes with a cordless drill.
