The ATS 68RFE Performance Transmission Upgrade addresses these weaknesses, delivering a comprehensive solution for improving performance and reliability.
Key upgrades include recalibration of the hydraulic circuits, which ensures the correct apply and release rates for clutch packs. The transmission’s clutch packs are enhanced with single-sided and double-sided friction plates, increasing the surface area by up to 34% in critical clutch packs. This results in better clutch control and improved performance under high-power conditions.
The pump assembly has been redesigned to prevent overpressure, regulate line pressure, and improve cooling and lubrication. The valve body, the heart of the transmission, has been modified to improve hydraulic integrity, allowing for smoother and more precise shifts.
