The 178/208 Steel Cam from Hamilton Cams is designed for 1989-2018 Cummins engines, offering similar performance to the cast version but with a steel construction for added durability. This camshaft enhances bottom-end power, improves turbo spool-up, and lowers exhaust gas temperatures by 200-300 degrees. It is designed for both 12v and 24v Cummins applications and requires specific modifications for "drop-in" installation, including valve clearance checks.
