The Billet S&B Grid Heater Delete Plate eliminates the factory grid heater, which is known for causing catastrophic engine failure. The OEM system uses two nuts that commonly loosen over time, potentially entering the combustion chamber and destroying the engine. S&B’s Grid Heater Delete Plate, paired with the S&B Intake Air Heater, replaces this failure-prone setup with a far more reliable coil-style heater. This design not only improves reliability but also reduces airflow restriction—resulting in a more dependable, better-performing engine.
