Suncoast Oversized TCC Apply Limit Switch Valve Kit
Description
When the torque converter clutch (TCC) is engaged in listed Chrysler units, line pressure from the TC regulator valve is directed straight to the TCC apply circuit, applying full line pressure to the TC clutch.
In worn or performance-enhanced transmissions, pressure can reach 210 psi or spike even higher, potentially deforming or ballooning the torque converter. This deformation can negatively impact drivability, efficiency, and overall performance. Along with this, bore wear at the TCC switch valve allows critical fluid loss that prevents proper TCC operation.
Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized TCC apply limit switch valve kit 44912-41K limits the amount of pressure applied to the torque converter without affecting the line pressure and restores proper TCC operation.
