Suncoast 10R80 CDF Triple Drum (NEW DESIGN)

Designed for 2017-2024 Ford Expedition, F-150, Mustang, and Lincoln Navigator models, this 10R80 CDF Triple Drum Hub Assembly (JL3Z-7H351-B) manufactured by Ford, replaces HL3Z-7H351-A and JL3Z-7H351-A. 

 

The anti-walk bushing update addresses an inherent issue in the design of the CDF drum in some Ford transmissions, including those equipped with the 10R80. The original design allowed the bushing to move, leading to potential exposure and blockage of ports to the clutch packs, causing various transmission issues.

 

To fix this, Ford introduced a lip to the drum to prevent the sleeve from walking out. This update has been implemented in several part numbers, including the JL3Z-7H351-B, which is used in vehicles like the 5.0L Mustang, Transit, 3.0L Explorer, 2017-2024 F-150, and 2018-2024 Expedition/Navigator​
